Hot Rod Birthday Weekend!

Friday night, the Lonestar Hot Rod Roundup was in town.  There is a tradition on South Congress to have all the old cars drag up and down the street (with policemen on duty).  There is music and people all over the place.  For the past couple of years dad has been bringing "Ruby" out for the event.  We parked on South Congress with the other antique cars and just hung out, had a few beers, ate pizza and watched as all the old cars drove by.

Sportin' his new hot rod shirt in Ruby's rumble seat

Jack's first taste of pizza...pretty delicious stuff!

Post-pizza food coma is starting to sink in

Building castles with the birthday boy.  Jack has been pooping sand ever since!

Look at all that fabulous hair blowing in the wind.  Some maybe more than others.

Trying to figure out which color of the Lego cake tastes the best.

After the post-birthday breakfast of 73 kolaches, we all headed to the Houston Zoo!

Pointing out all of the Dora's in the tank.

Baby elephant taking a swim.

Showing off his walking skillz for all of the ladies...and ducks

As soon as we got home it was time for dinner.  Mom was too pooped from the weekend to get a spoon for spagetti so this is what happened.
