Apparently the combination of tank tops, cutoff denim and long, wispy hair makes you look like a little girl. So, after being asked how old my daughter was, what's my daughter's name and being told my daughter is adorable on more than one occasion, we decided it was time to remove 1 of the 3 from the equation. Since tank tops and cutoff denim are so hot right now, we went with a haircut.
Given this was Jack's first haircut, it was kind of a big deal. It took longer for us to decide where to take him than it did to actually get his hair cut. We decided on a place called Birds Barbershop. It's down the street from our house on South Congress and had good reviews.
We walked in, they had an old Asteroids machine in the corner and they offered me an ice cold Shiner. Since it was Jack's day, not mine, I had to pass on both...but I knew we picked a good place. We met with Jack's stylist, Emma, and she walked us on back. We got Jack settled in, had the bag of toys and snacks ready, Mom & Dad were both anxious, and then we started. And then it was over. I had time to take 3 pictures and then she was done. Jack was well behaved as usual and we literally walked out about 7 minutes after walking in.
