Jack's 15 month check up was this morning and I'm sure it was an appointment he would have skipped if he had the choice.  As soon as we walked in they sent us right to the lab for a blood draw.  Our last appointment he was a low on iron, so we have been sneaking iron drops in his juice the last three months.  Instead of the normal blood draw on the arm she did like 20 finger pricks to get what she needed.  For as many times as she pricked him I would think a needle in the arm would be better, but he didn't make a peep.  He just looked a little pathetic.
Then off to the doc.  She said he was progressing well and healthy.  He has about 5 or 6 signs he knows and will communicate with us and the rest is grunts and points.  He understands what we are saying and will babble a lot, but not a ton of actual words.  He will say a word for a week then ditch it.  His last word was moon...it came out more like oon.  She did think some of his latest "tricks" were pretty hilarious.
After all her checks and prods the nurse came in and gave him 3 boosters.  He was all red faced and screaming for about 30 seconds.  Then he picked out a pink princess sticker and we were outta there.

Since he did so well at his appointment we went out for some celebratory kolaches.  It was probably more for me and Birdie than Jack, but whatever!  We had a nice little date.
