Trip To Colorado

Jack and I along with most of the Chambers fam took a trip to Colorado to celebrate grandmas 90th birthday.  Here are some snapshots from our weekend!

I was super nervous about flying with Jack for a 2 hour flight.  He had flown before, but only as a baby.  But Jack did great and even slept on the plane.  His favorite part was riding the train at the airport and the bus from baggage claim to our rental car.

Jack takes his fun very seriously.

Grandma bought Jack a brand new John Deer tractor.  She was really bummed they didn't have an International tractor since my grandpa was a International only tractor man, but Jack didn't seem to mind.

Grandma had pumpkins all over her place, but she only had HUGE ones.  Jack tried to pick up every single one and almost gave himself a hernia.  Luckily there was a pumpkin field right across the street.  Pappa Doug and Aunt Jenny took him over so he could find some pick-up-able sized pumpkins.

A trip to Uncle Warren and Aunt Shirley's house always involves rides in some sort of awesome vehicle.

You know how at Denny's your meal always comes with a side of pancakes??  Well Coloradoians like to eat and at a lot of the restaurants your meal usually includes a side of pasta.  So much food!!  Guess it's good I am eating for 1 and a fourth.

We took Jack to the Pueblo zoo and they actually had some really great exhibits.  The lions were AMAZING!!  They had one huge lion and lioness that were both perched on top of their cave house.  They were both so beautiful.  And when we were leaving the lion started to belt out these crazy loud roars, which I think that is the first time I've ever heard one roar in person.  So cool!

Dinner with a 90 yr old grandma and an Elk at Latronicas.  This place is known for their spaghetti and meatballs and fried chicken.  yep!

Jack requesting to sit with his great grandma for a good 20 minutes.  Now that he is a toddler this kid doesn't sit so this moment was pretty fantastic.  Can't you see the excitement?

Our flight home.  Jack rode on his first walking escalator.  Once you ride a walking escalator you never go back.  He made all of us do this with him for a good hour before we took off.  Over and over and over and over again!
