Not really thinking she would go, I got a call from her Saturday morning at the crack of dawn saying that she was in Houston and heading down to wait in line for seats. Little did she know, she did not get up early enough...the line was already a few miles long when she got there. They were not prepared for the amount of people that showed up ready to buy pieces of the stadium. Long story short after 10 hours of waiting she got a voucher for 4 seats to be picked up sometime in December. They didn't have enough seats ready for everyone who wanted to buy them, which was a bit of a bummer especially since she was there so long, and it also meant there would be another trip to Houston.
Here is where we come in. Me, Clive and Jennifer headed out to Houston one Monday morning expecting the worst since her last experience here was 10 hours long. ugh!
We pull up to this long line of very organized cars...a wee speck of hope. We sat in this line not really knowing if we were at the front or the back because cars were pulling in at all directions.
Clive and his mullet were bored and needed a change of scenery
This guy showed up and was no help at all. We start to flash the baby and his cute dimple thinking we might get some sort of priority access, but no dice. Thanks for nuthin' Santa (he really is a Santa btw).
Clive knew we would be in for the long haul and started to get friendly with our neighbors
This guy shows up to coo at Clive, but gave us no info either. We were starting to get a bit worried no one knew what was going on.
Luckily we only waited an hour and pulled into a garage and picked up our ORANGE Astrodome seats...they are AWESOME!! I can't wait to get them set up.
On a sad note, I believe they have turned down the plan to save the Astrodome and...well, BOOM! :(
