We sure did have an eventful weekend and the weather had a little something to do with that.
Saturday our friends from Dallas and the Paprocki's came to our house for lunch, to play and take a dip in the pool.
Bob and Deebs had a little reunion
That night we had a party at the Thirsty Planet Brewery for Jacob's birthday...a little early this year.
The party was a lot of fun! Most people had left and we started to load up the car when all of our phone alarms went off notifying us of a tornado in the area. We watched the news a bit and it seemed to get closer and closer. We couldn't leave at that point. Then the lights went out...scary! The brewery guy led us all into the cooler with the kegs since it was the most interior room. I was pretty much freaking out as were most of the girls, but the guys didn't seem to mind. They had a keg in the room of a special brew to sip on while we waited out the tornados.
After the tornado threat was over, we got a quick tour in the dark and the birthday boy was sent home with a ton of bottled beers...saran wrapped to his arm! Ha!
Sunday we hung out at the house for a bit to try and get in some naps then headed out to Joe and Pat's for dinner and to swim some more.
Even after all that crazy weather Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day!
Everyone headed back home on Monday. We had a great time...even Deebs and Bob had a fun weekend!
Sadly it kept raining and storming on Monday. Luckily everyone made it to Dallas ok. We spent some time in our closet due to more tornados. It was scary, but we lucked out...a lot of Austin and surrounding towns were really affected by the rain and floods. We are very lucky to all be safe and sound and hope that Austin is able to recover soon!
