Farmhouse Hutch

Ben and Kori got me hooked on HGTV's Fixer Upper and since then I've been wanting to refurbish something in Magnolia Homes farmhouse style. I found this hutch for a really great price on craigslist and made Jake come with me to lug it across Austin. I know he really gets worried when I say "project" and how much of that will mean I need his help. :)

Here is the hutch before in it's previous home

After many coats of paint to get this sucker from black to white here she is! I also replaced the back with cedar and added chicken wire behind the glass to give it a rustic look (another idea I snagged from Ben and Kori)

I can't decide if I'm going to distress it yet or not, but I am going to enjoy it as is for now!
