Weekend Fun

Friday night our next door neighbor hosted a Olympics pot luck party for a few people in our Sycamore hood.  It was fun to see someone else's house and meet more of our neighbors.  And they all love Jack, which is pretty cute!  We brought over Jacob's famous guacamole and hung around until Jack was ready to melt then headed home.

Saturday morning it was Gage and Ella's third birthday party.  It was right in the middle of Jack's nap time.  He did pretty well on no sleep, but was pretty mellow the whole party.

Ready to party!!

It was a hat themed party, so they had lot's to choose from.  Every time someone put a hat on Jack's head he just froze...

He tried to squeeze in a little nap while snuggled up with Honey.

Gage's Curious George cake

He started to get horizontal near the end of the party.

Saturday afternoon Grandma and Pappa Doug came to pick Jack up for his weekend away at their house.  I think the weekend activities involved lots of this...he came home with a bag of wet clothes.

Meanwhile Jacob floated the river in New Braunsfuls with his co-workers.  The wives met up with the boys at the Gristmill for dinner then headed to the Avett Brothers concert.  The venue was really cool with the river right behind the stage.

We had a box for our group, which ended up being right over the bar.  It took a lot to focus on the concert and not people watch all the falling over drunks below.

Since we were still kiddo free Sunday morning we decided to go do some SUP'ing on Townlake.  It was a beautiful morning!

We went to pick up Jack and he obviously had a ton of fun at grandma and pappa dougs house...he was out like a light as soon as he hit his car seat.

Then Sunday night there was a special service at church.  Jack did great!  Luckily there was lot's of music for him to dance to and we also came prepared with about a million and one cheerios.

After church we headed to Perla's for a yummy dinner.

Watching dad and Pappa Doug play shuffleboard.

I'm pretty sure this isn't allowed.
