Easter Overload

Happy Easter Y'all

Last weekend the church held their Easter Egg Hunt on the capital grounds.  Jacob got there early since he volunteered to help with grilling for the food that day.  We met him there a few hours later and the boys were ready for some egg huntin'!

Clive is really attached to mommy right now, so as soon as he realized I was on the other end of this camera and not in the fuzzy suit holding him...he lost it!

After the egg hunt we set up our own little picnic for lunch

The boys enjoyed being out in the nice weather so much we took them for a walk on Lady Bird Lake on Sunday.  We played hooky from actual church to do this, but figured since we went to a church event the day before so I'm sure it counted.

This weekend we were blessed with fabulous weather again.  On Saturday we headed to the San Antonio Zoo to let the boys run around.  Clive has been practicing his rawrs and elephant noises, so it was cute to see him do them back to the real animals.
Jack has become a bit obsessed with the movie Rio, so these birds were his favorite part.  We bought a $2.50 mini shot of nectar so he could feed the birds and Jack immediately spilled it all over himself as the birds just watched on. O well!

Friday night I couldn't sleep and ended up watching a marathon of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. There was one brick oven pizza place and it happened to be in San Antonio where they make everything in house...fresh dough, sauce and mozz. YUM! I made us take a side trip on our way home to get their sampler plate. I sat in the car since both boys were passed out while Jake enjoyed his alone time inside waiting for our DDD order.

That night we did a little egg dying. Jack loved his so much he slept with his eggs.
Kinda gross!

A little Easter downtime before Church

After church they always do a butterfly release with the kiddos

We did our annual family Easter picnic.  Jen bought a ton of cascarones for the boys to crush and go crazy with

Poor Clive.  Just can't get out of the way fast enough!

Clive was pretty pooped after a long weekend and ready for a nap!!

We are very blessed to have such a fun and wonderful family!
