JACK - Halfway to a year little man! You have already experienced so much in your young life so far, I can't wait for what's still to come. You've already been on a plane, traveled to three different states, baby bjorned it up a mountain, been to two different zoo's, rode shotgun on a tractor, met some live nativity scene livestock, ran amuck at toy heaven in NYC, strollered in a 5k for cancer and played a giant piano...with your feet.
You have started chatting up every person in sight. You literally say "Goo Goo Ga Ga", which is cute and kind of strange. It's like a dog saying "Bark". Anywho...Your also almost sitting up solo. You can sit up, but we still hover around you or prop up a bunch of pillows just in case of a crash.
Your still a full time b-milk man, but also eating one solid meal a day and we have started to give you some water in a sippy cup. Food wise we have tried rice cereal, apples, pears, squash, mango, bananas, sweet potato and avocado. You hated avocados. Who hates avocados?? If you didn't look exactly like a mini Jacob Pearson I'd be worried we left the hospital with the wrong baby. You hated them so much that you did the dramatic gaging face while eating them. Which I almost wish I had a picture of because it was pretty funny.
With all of our recent traveling and your parents inconsistency you have not gotten a night time routine down yet, which means you aren't sleeping through the night. boo! I guess we assumed it would just happen. So Dr. Yeager said the first step to a blissful night of sleep is to ditch the pacifier ASAP...today is going to be a sad day for Jack! He gave us some more suggestions on getting you (and us) to start sleeping better, so we are gonna give it a go this weekend. If you see us on Monday dragging rump with blood shot eyes you will know why.
Jack's Favorites List:
- Smiling at everything and everyone!
- We found your tickle spots on your legs and its so adorable to hear you giggle.
- Playing with your new John Deer tractor, but I think the only maneuver you know is reverse.
- DeeBo...you are in love and think he is hilarious. Deebs does not share the same enthusiasm for you quite yet. :)
- Kindermusik and Miss Lisa. You have started to sing back to her during class (aka: excitedly screaming at her) and she is so sweet and says you have a beautiful singing voice.
- Beards
- Your pacifier...buh bye paci!
Jack's "Ehh, Not So Much" List:
- Sleeping. Why sleep when so much is going on right here right now?!?
- Avocados
- Waking up. For someone who hates sleeping you would think waking up would be awesome, but no.
Overall you are SUCH a ridiculously happy baby. We are sooo lucky!!
Next month we are going to start an additional class called Wee Wee Wiggles at Kidville. The class consists of lots o toys, book reading, singing, more dancing and intro to sign language.
