4th of July Round Up

SO this post is obviously a little late.  I was kind of cheating and waiting until Michele or someone else posted their pictures from the lakehouse so I could steal a few, since Jake and I didn't do a very good job of taking pics ourselves (thanks Michele). 


On the actual 4th of July in Austin we went to a friends apartment who had a fantastic view overlooking Town Lake. We had a great time and prime viewing from her balcony of the fireworks over the lake.

If you ask Jack to smile or show you his teeth, this is the face you get.  And this smile has an added bonus of a little pre-fireworks cool whip. 

The weekend after the 4th we headed to Gun Barrel City/Mabank for our annual reunion.  This was Jack's first trip to the lake house so we were a little nervous how he would do...we didn't know if we needed to create some sort of force field so he couldn't just throw himself into the lake.  He ended up having a BLAST with all the other kiddos and was very well behaved.

Ryan, Ben and Jack.  These three dudes had a slumber party Saturday night in the guest house.  The neighbors had bought pretty much an entire trailers worth of fireworks and set them off directly over their room.  These three snoozers didn't wake up once through the entire thing...impressive sleeping!!

I've come to realize Jack is going to be a big dude and will most likely eat us out of house and home...he eats CONSTANTLY and A LOT of it.  So it's only fitting he is stuffing his face in the pic!
