TWO MONTHS

Jack is a wee bit over the two month mark, but we just had his check up with Dr. Yeager this morning.   We had to wait in the little room a while before the doctor was ready for us...by the time he walked in Jack was officially passed out.  He made it through a flashlight eye screening, some stethoscoping, and a stomach squeezing test without waking up (I'm sure those are the medical terms).  It wasn't until the doc checked his manhood that Jack decided that he needed to open those eyes to see what was going on.

His two month stats are:
Length - 24 3/4 inches (97%)
Weight - 14 pounds 7 ounces (95%)
Head - 42 centimeters (90%)

Dr. Yeager said he's a BIG dude, but a proportionate one.  Guess thats all that really matters.

Then came the unfortunate but necessary part...his two month shots.  Poor guy got 3 shots in the leg and one oral vaccine.  Our little man held his breath for a very long and scary amount of time then screamed his head off.  I would too after seeing the way that nurse came at his little legs with those needles.  All he had to show for his toughness was two crappy Daffy Duck bandaids that fell off after about 2 minutes.  He is feeling much better now and pretty much slept all day.

JACK - At two months you've started smiling like crazy at me, dad, friends and the ceiling fan.  You are almost able to completely manage your little dome, but it can still get out of your control at times.  Your sleeping schedule has been pretty amazing for your age...you are still waking every three hours to eat 3.5 to 4 oz of milk, but have started to skip one of your night feedings pretty regularly.  We thank you for this!  You are still sleeping in the bassinet in our room at nights, but napping in your crib during they day.  The doc told us we need to start putting you in your crib pretty soon on a full time basis.  Your arms and legs are starting to reach the ends of the bassinet anyways, so I guess it is about time.

Jack's Favorites List:
- Morning walks with Michele and Ryan (and sometimes Mica and her two little ones)
- Flirting with the fan...I dread the day when I have to tell you that the fan is attached to this house that doesn't belong to us and that we can't take it with us
- Smiles
- Cheek sherberts
- Being swaddled.  Waist down only!
- Resting your feet on sleeping DeeBo while you eat
- You LOVE bath time!

Jack's "Ehh, Not So Much" List:
- Waking up from naps.  If you only opened your eyes instead of immediately crying when you wake up it would make this transition a bit smoother.
- The car seat.  You hate being confined and strapped up in that thing.
- Quick movements.  If this happens you immediately put up your dukes and hold your breath...we call this "Hulk Hands"
- Clothes.  You would rather always be naked.  I hope this phases out before you hit high school.  I've heard rumors that streaking runs in the family.

So far so good little man!  You are a great baby and it has been so much fun watching you grow, learn and hit these milestones.
