Our house has a formal living room and we are pretty much the opposite of formal, so we decided to put in a bar. Here is the empty space...we used it as a Big Delicious stock room for a while.

We sold all of our strollers and baby things we had around the house and used that money for our bar...seems like a normal transition, right? As soon as we told them they were going to new families the boys weren't ready to part with them.

Jacob and dad are amazing at building things, but we decided to give them a break this time and purchase pre assembled counters. Jake got a bar top and then he and dad built a chalkboard wall, installed lights and shelving.
They did an amazing job and got it done in a weekend!
These little men had their own way of helping
Also instead of installing a keg-orator and having to mess with a huge keg, we decided to get a Pico Brew machine. With Pico Brew we can order beer kits from craft breweries all over the country and beyond (Canada) and put them in our little machine and it will make about 10 pints of beer.
Along with can beer and wine we also stocked the fridge with La Croix, Sprites and Root Beers so the boys can have a special bar treat every once in a while. This has become one of their favorite places to watch their shows.
