Pearsons Go West: San Diego Week 1

We had our first full week. Jacob and I are both working remotely while we are here for the first 3 weeks. The great thing is the time difference, our work day ends at 3p here, so we have pretty much another full day to play after work. We have been doing lots of bike riding and beach time during the work week.

My SD goal was to learn how to skateboard

Getting in lots of ice cream, fish tacos and sunsets!

Lucille is loving the dog beach and it really wears her out! She is also allowed on the main beach after 6p.

There are lots of craft breweries in San Diego so we are fitting a few in here and there. One of our favorites is Modern Times...love this place!

With Big Delicious always at a brewery these boys have brewery activities down pat.

The highs have been around 75 degrees and it gets cooler at night so we have to remember to pack our sweatshirts

We have found some fun restaurants in walking distance from our place

Lucky for us San Diego is really dog friendly so we have been able to bring Lucille with us most places. This restaurant even had a dog brunch meal.

Found a playground nearby. Sadly Jacob and Lucy got stung by bees in the foot here...there are flowers in the grass and they both stepped on one. Jacobs foot looks like a loaf of bread right now...ouchie!

We have made it to the beach every day so far. The tides have been really strong this weekend so we spent most time on the sand playing football and building sand castles.

Stone Brewery was another that was recommended to us by one of Jakes co-workers...it was really pretty!

The brewery was at Liberty Station with a fancy food court and open green spaces...they also had this guy parked out front. Jack let everyone know he knows how to drive it thanks to Papa Doug!

Sunday we found a dog friendly restaurant out at the marina

While we were at the marina Jacob picked up some fresh caught tuna and salmon and made us poke...tuna was delish! Can't wait to try the salmon.
