When we got to San Diego Jacob and I put together a whole list of everything we wanted to do while we are here and have been frantically checking at least one thing off a day.
During the week we have still been working, but since our free time starts at 3p, we are still able to get in some fun time each day.
Mexican food at Old Town
We wanted to get them out of our tiny bungalow a few times while we were working and found a place that did day camps called Kid Ventures. The boys had a great time!
Belmont Park in Mission Beach
Every Thursday is fish taco night at South Beach. Hands down best fish tacos! Then we head down to the beach to play and watch the sunset.
Kitchy taco joint, Luche Libre. The inside is wrestling theme and you can reserve a golden table with a wrestling belt. We didn't do this since they had a dog friendly patio to bring miss Lucille
I didn't think any place could have more breweries than Denver, but San Diego wins for sure. We are finding all the kid and dog-friendly ones. Lucille even made the wall of fame at Bay City Brewing!
Saturday was pretty June-gloomy so we decided to go to Coronado for the day. They have a good dog beach
with sand that glitters
It wasn't really beach weather so we randomly decided to rent a golf cart for the day and just drive around the town. First stop ice cream!
Lucille was a little confused by the golf cart because it wasn't going very fast so she tried to just hop off a couple times when we were moving, but it was fast enough to stick your head out the side to get a good breeze in the face!

Sunday was Father's Day. Brunch at the Garden Cafe in OB
Prettiest avocado toast I've ever had
Then we headed to Del Mar to a fun new brewery/restaurant called Viewpoint
(Root) Beers all around!
Then we headed to Point Loma to the Castillo National Monument to see the views and the pretty lighthouse
The had a sheet the kids could pick up at the rangers station. On the sheet, they listed things they found, heard, smelled and then did a couple puzzles. Bring back the sheet at the end of your visit, take a solemn oath and bam...you become a junior ranger!
On our way home we had picked up sandwiches and snacks for a picnic at sunset cliffs.
We had a great picnic then the boys wanted to go down to the cliffs. I was a nervous wreck here. I am scared to death of heights and then on top of that all the people that I love are on this cliff with me. ahhh, panic!
